Flights canceled at LAX

Officials are still determining how many flights need to be canceled

UPDATE FRIDAY 12:11 pm - Officials have canceled more than 15 flights between Japan and Los Angeles International Airport.

Canceled flights include Delta flights 284, 283, 636, and 635; All Nippon Airways flights 006, 5, 1006, and 1005; Japan Airlines flights 62 and 61; American Airlines flights 170 and 169; United Airlines flights 890 and 891; and Korean Airlines flight 1.

The status of Singapore flights 12 and 11 is unclear.

Officials are urging travelers to check with individual airlines for more updated information.

Three flights scheduled to arrive this morning at Los Angeles International Airport from Norita, Japan were canceled, officials confirmed.

Delta Airlines flight 284, Japan Airlines flight 62 and Air Nippon flight 6 have not been re-scheduled yet.

A flight scheduled for midnight tonight was canceled, according to airport officials.

Officials have not yet determined if other flights need to be canceled.

A flight to Tokyo scheduled to leave at midnight last night was boarded and ready to leave when it was canceled due to the earthquake.
