Rain storm causes road closures, evacuations in LA County

Interstate 110 reopens after heavy rain hits Southern California

Road closures in Los Angeles County due to heavy rain are starting to reopen.

Closures included lanes along Interstate 5’s Grapevine pass, the 110 freeway and parts of the Pacific Coastal Highway, which were reopened Monday morning.

Topanga Canyon Road remained closed due to mudslides and flooded roads. The Angeles Forest Highway remained unopened as well.

The storm also forced about 30 people to evacuate in Woodland Hills and caused 16 Southwest Airline flights to be canceled at the Bob Hope Airport, reported the Los Angeles Times.
