Hollywood reacts to Taylor's death

Stars took to Twitter to express their sadness over the star's passing

Elizabeth Taylor’s death Wednesday morning has Hollywood and the world over in mourning.

Hollywood took to Twitter to express their sadness.

Long-time friend of the starlet, Larry King, tweeted “Elizabeth Taylor was a great friend, a great star and one gutsy woman. She was so special. You won’t see the likes of her again...”

Other stars sent out tweets about the iconic Taylor’s death Wednesday, including George Takei, Joy Behar and Joan Rivers.

Takei tweeted: “Liz Taylor lived life with grace, class and a deep respect for others. The heavens now shine with a bright new star.”

“Elizabeth Taylor was truly one of the greats. She’ll certainly be missed.” - Joy Behar

Rivers wrote on her Twitter account: “Sad to hear of Elizabeth Taylor’s death. She was the 1st major celebrity to join me in the fight against AIDS when it wasn’t a popular cause.”

Wednesday morning Kardashian tweeted, “I am so saddened about the passing of Elizabeth Taylor! She will always be my idol!” Kim Kardashian recently interviewed with Elizabeth Taylor for a February issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

Taylor’s passing is currently a trending topic worldwide on the social media site.
