Woman kidnapped in Simi Valley found

A missing Simi Valley woman has left behind concerned neighbors and a trail of blood

24-year-old Keisha Marshall was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital Monday afternoon, and her ex-boyfriend Rashaun Bailey who allegedly kidnapped her from her parents’ Bloom Street residence was taken into custody.

Before officials found Marshall, they had suspected she had been beaten because blood was found at the house.

“We believe she may be seriously injured,” Simi Valley police Lieutenant Joseph May said.

According to May, Marshall and Bailey had a history of domestic violence during the course of their tumultuous relationship.

Court records show that Bailey, 27, was scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court Monday for a domestic battery charge. Marshall is listed in the court docket as a witness. A $25,000 bench warrant for Bailey’s arrest was issued after he failed to make an appearance in court this morning.

Bailey is anticipated by police to be heading to Texas, his last known state of residence. Simi Valley authorities have issued bulletins to law enforcement agencies from California to Dallas, alerting extra officers to work through the night.

Bailey drives a white 2004 Ford Crown Victoria, registered with a Texas license plate of “BC5B700.” Lieutenant May describes Bailey as “black, about 6 feet tall, and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.”
