Three men broke into an apartment on the 700 block of West 27th Street early Tuesday morning.
According to police, the suspects, one of them armed, forced their way in and punched the man inside.
The victim, a man in his 30s who is not a USC student, was not seriously injured.
The suspects stole two PlayStation consoles and an Xbox, according to police.
The victim’s friend, a USC student, reported to DPS officers that she saw three suspicious men leaving West 27th Street with her friend’s video game equipment around 12:30 a.m.
A sorority security guard heard noises and found the victim screaming as he was being robbed.
No arrests have been made.
