The Annual Undergraduate Exhibition opens at the USC Roski School of Fine Arts Wednesday. The annual exhibit brings in the most talented works of USC students in collaboration with both the Fisher Museum and the Roski School.
This year, a variety of media will be represented in the exhibition including oil and watercolor painting, sculpture, photography, video, drawing and new and mixed media.
Rochelle Steiner, Dean of the Roski School of Fine Arts is curating the exhibition this year. The USC Fisher Museum is the oldest museum in Los Angeles devoted exclusively to the exhibition and collection of fine art. The Fisher Museum is an American Association of Museums-accredited institution.
“Steiner has previously curated the Saint Louis Art Museum and London’s Serpentine Gallery and has organized exhibitions with internationally acclaimed artists, including, John Currin, Ellsworth Kelly, Takashi Murakami, Cindy Sherman, and Rirkrit Tiravanija. In 2008, as Director of the Public Art Fund in New York, she curated and organized Olafur Eliasson’s The New York City Waterfalls, one of the most ambitious works of public art ever realized,” according the Roski School.
