Flowers will be placed on the Walk Of Fame star of the late actor Leslie Nielsen.  Nielsen died Sunday of complications from pneumonia at a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale.  He was 84.

Nielsen began his career playing serious parts and transitioned to comedic roles in spoofs like “Airplane!” and “The Naked Gun.”

Nielsen passed with his wife, Barbaree, and friends at his side, his agent, John S. Kelly, said in a statement.

“We are saddened by the passing of beloved actor Leslie Nielsen, probably best remembered at Lt. Frank Drebin in ‘The Naked Gun’ series of pictures, but who enjoyed a more than 60-year career in motion pictures and television,” Kelly said.

Some of the pieces Nielsen acted in include: “The Vagabond King”, “Forbidden Planet”, “The Poseidon Adventure”, “Tammy and the Bachelor” and “The Swamp Fox.”

Nielsen, a Canadian native, was born on February 11, 1926, in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was married to Monica Boyer from 1950-55; Sandy Ullman from 1958-74; Brooks Oliver from 1981-85; and Barbaree Earl in 2001.

He had two daughters, Thea and Maura, with his second wife.
