City Council District 2 candidate Augusto Bisani says he is first and foremost a businessman, and it was evident at his City Council election watch party on Tuesday night.
“I’m in my 60s and I already have a job,” he said, “I’m not looking to become a career politician.”
Bisani, a native of Italy who immigrated to the U.S. in 1968, is a self-made businessman whose company sells supplies like specialty Italian cappuccino machines to restaurants and businesses.
At his watch party, held at his business headquarters in North Hollywood, supporters were treated to these cappuccinos, gelato and other treats as they awaited the election results.
Bisani is running against incumbent Paul Krekorian.
Bisani says he wants to be the voice in City Council for the small business owner, and he isn’t running for any ulterior motive other than to make sure their voices are heard.
Bisani says his business experience has also taught him how to balance a budget, and he will bring this expertise to the City Council.
